Men's Swimming and Diving: Mount Union Finishes Seventh in Wooster Invite

WOOSTER, Ohio -- Mount Union's men's swimming and diving placed seventh with a score of 677 in the Wooster Invitational this weekend at the Timken Natatorium.

Sophomore Cole Ellsworth opened the day with a third place finish in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 16:30.17. 

In the 200 yard breastsroke, junior Jack Ineson (Huron/Huron) finished in fifth with a time of 2:12.20 while in the 200 yard backstroke, senior Tyler Fry placed ninth with a time of 1:54.52.

Senior Brian Walker (Cincinnati/Oak Hills) had a 12th place finish with a time of 2:00.17 in the 200 yard butterfly

Finishing the night was the 400 freestyle relay team of freshman Derek Currey (McDonald, Pa./West Allegheny), Ellsworth, junior Michael Jeromin (Chagrin Falls/Kenston Falls) and Ineson finished second with a time of 3:18.78.

The Raiders will be back at home in the Hammond Natatorium Friday, December 8th at 6 p.m. against St. Vincent (Pa.).
