Men's Swimming and Diving: Mount Union Drops to Ohio Northern

ADA, Ohio -- Mount Union's men's swimming and diving team lost to Ohio Northern by a final score of 182-118 in an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup Sunday in the Sports Center Natatoruim.

Sophomore Logan Palochak (Hopewell,Pa./Hopewell) recorded three wins on the afternoon to lead the Purple Raiders. Palochak won the sprint of the 50 yard freestyle by .07 with a time of 22.24. Palochak also won the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 48.63. In the 100 yard butterfly, Palochak recorded his third first place finish with a time of 53.14. 

Sophomore Cole Ellsworth (Temperance, Mich./Bedford) got the first win of the day for the Raiders in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 10:20.35. Ellsworth also finished first in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:03.35.

Senior Tyler Fry (Massillon/Washington) also recorded two wins on the day in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 52.50 and the 200 yard IM with a time of 2:02.85. 

Next up for Mount Union is a senior day matchup with Wilmington Saturday, January 20th at 1 p.m. in the Hammond Natatorium.
