ALLIANCE, Ohio -- Mount Union's men's swimming and diving team defeated Wilmington in an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup 150-106 Saturday in the Hammond Natatorium.
Recording two individual wins and leading the Purple Raiders on the afternoon was sophomore Logan Palochak (Hopewell, Pa./Hopewell) who recorded wins in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 22.13 and the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:05.65.
Palochak was also a member of the 200 yard medley relay team along with senior Tyler Fry (Massillon/Washington), junior Jack Ineson (Huron) and sophomore Cole Ellsworth (Temperance, Mich./Bedford) where they recorded a first place finish with a time of 1:38.68.
Ineson and Ellworth also recorded individual wins on the day in the 100 yard backstroke (1:03.00) and the 500 yard freestyle (4:56.99), respectively.
Others recording wins for the Raiders were Zachary Grebert (Chandler, Az./Hamilton) in the 100 yard freestyle (10:36.82), sophomore Joseph Palmquist (North Huntingdon, Pa. / Norwin) in the 200 yard butterfly (2:09.38), freshman Nicholas Elia (Chardon/Notre Dame Cathedral Latin) in the 100 yard butterfly (54.47) and senior Brian Walker (Cincinnati/Oak Hills) in the 200 yard IM (2:04.47).
The Raiders will be back in the pool again Saturday, January 27th at Wooster with the race beginning at 1 p.m.
