Men's Swimming and Diving: Mount Union Suffers Loss at Westminster

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa -- Mount Union's men's swimming and diving team was defeated by Westminster by a final score of 188-110 Saturday in the Westminster Natatorium.

The Purple Raiders were led by senior Tyler Fry (Massillon/Washington) and sophomore Logan Palochak (Hopewell, Pa./Hopewell) who each recorded two wins on the afternoon.

Fry won the 100 backstroke with a time of 53.49 and the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:57.17. Palochak was the winner in the 50 yard freestyle and the 100 butterfly with times of 22.18 and 52.91, respectively. 

Also in the winners column for the Raiders was sophomore Cole Ellsworth (Temperance, Mich./Bedford) in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 10:12.23

The Raiders will be back in the pool, February 15-17 at the University of Akron in the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships.
