Men's Swimming and Diving: Raiders Holds Fifth Place after Day One of Wooster Invite

WOOSTER, Ohio--Mount Union's men's swimming and diving team holds fifth place with a score of 250 after day one of the Wooster Invitational on Thursday in the Timken Natatorium. 

Leading the way for Mount Union was the relay team of juniors Noach Kee (Canton/GlenOak), Cole Ellsworth (Temperance, Mich./Bedford), Logan Palochak (Hopewell) and sophomore Mark Silver (Painesville/Riverside) who finished sixth in the 200-yard freestyle relay. 

Freshman Nick Dye (Massillon/Massillon Jackson) recorded a time of 27.61 in the 50-yard freestyle time trial while sophomore Connor Johnson (Solon) tallied a time of 2:21.22 in the mixed 200-yard IM time trial. 

Ellsworth also placed sixth in the 500-yard freestyle with a clocked time of 4:44.03.

Day two of the Wooster Invitational begins Friday morning with preliminaries at 11 a.m. and finals starting at 6 p.m
