Men's Tennis Hosts Undefeated Baldwin Wallace Saturday

Mount Union's men's tennis teams hosts undefeated Baldwin Wallace in an Ohio Athletic Conference match Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. at the Whitehill Tennis Courts. 

Mount Union enters Saturday's match with an overall record of 10-2 and is 1-1 in the OAC. The Purple Raiders are coming off a 9-0 shutout of Washington and Jefferson (Pa.) Wednesday. This is the fourth time this season the Raiders have shutout an opponent. 

On the season, the Raiders have a combined singles record of 56-16 and have a combined doubles record of 28-8. 

The Raiders have two players that are undefeated in singles matches this season: sophomore Ben Swope (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) and freshman Dominic Marino (Cuyahoga Falls/Cuyahoga Falls).

Swope leads the Raiders with an 11-0 record and Marino has a 10-0 record. 

The doubles paring of brothers senior Nate Fockler (North Canton/Hoover) and sophomore Nick Fockler (North Canton/Hoover) lead the team with a 9-3 record.

Baldwin Wallace enters Saturday's match with an overall record of 17-0 and is 2-0 in the OAC. The Yellow Jackets are coming off a 5-4 victory at Otterbein in their last match. 

On the season, the Jackets have a combined singles record of 113-24 and have a combined doubles record of 51-16. 

Kyle Patterson leads the Yellow Jackets with a singles record of 19-3 and the doubles pairing of Doug Ganim and Peter Harris lead the team with a 19-3 record. 

Mount Union next heads on the road to face John Carroll in an OAC match Tuesday at 3:30 pm in University Heights.
