Men's Tennis Travels To John Carroll Wednesday

Mount Union's men's tennis heads to University Heights, Ohio to face John Carroll in an Ohio Athletic Conference tennis match Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. 

The Purple Raiders enter Tuesday's match with an overall record of 10-3 and are 1-2 in the conference. The Raiders are coming off a 7-2 loss against Baldwin Wallace in their last match Saturday afternoon in Alliance, Ohio. 

On the season, the Raiders have a combined singles record of 58-20 and a combined doubles record of 28-11. 

Sophomore Ben Swope (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) and freshman Dominic Marino (Cuyahoga Falls/Cuyahoga Falls) both lead the team with 11 singles wins on the season. 

The doubles pairing of senior Nate Fockler (North Canton/Hoover) and sophomore Nick Fockler (North Canton/Hoover) lead the team with a 9-4 doubles record. 

John Carroll enters Tuesday's match with an overall record of 2-8 and 1-3 in the OAC. The Blue Streaks are coming off a 9-0 shutout of Wilmington in their last match. 

On the season, the Blue Streaks have a combined singles record of 31-51 and a combined doubles record of 18-24. 

Ryan Mullaney leads the team with a singles record of 7-4, while the doubles pairing of Mullaney and Sean Graham lead with a 6-4 record. 

Last season, John Carroll finished the season with an 8-12 record and earned the No. 5 seed in the OAC tournament and fell to Mount Union in the quarterfinals.
