Men’s Tennis Travels To Wilmington For Final Regular Season Match

Mount Union's men's tennis team travels to Wilmington for its final regular season match of the season Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. 

Mount Union: The Purple Raiders enter Saturday's match with an overall record of 13-5 and are in fourth place in the league standings with a 4-4 record. 

Wilmington: The Quakers enter Saturday's match with an overall record of 2-8 and are tied for ninth place in the OAC standings with an 1-6 record.

OAC Tournament Picture: The top eight teams at the end of the regular season qualify for the conference tournament which starts next week. Seeds 1-4 will host seeds 5-8 in quarterfinal matches. 

Team win totals: Mount Union has an overall singles record of 75-33 and a conference singles record of 28-20. The Raiders have an overall doubles record of 35-19 and a conference doubles record of 11-13. 

Wilmington has an overall singles record of 9-56 and a conference singles record of 0-42. The Quakers have an overall doubles record of 3-29 and a conference doubles record of 0-21. 

Singles wins leaders: Nick Fockler (North Canton/Hoover) and Dominic Marino (Cuyahoga Falls/Cuyahoga Falls) each lead the Raiders with six singles conference wins. Connor LaVille leads the Quakers with three singles wins. 

Doubles wins leaders: The pairing of Ben Swope (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) and Josh Duerr (Uniontown/Lake) lead the Raiders with five conference doubles wins. The pairing of Justin Arehart and Josh Kincaid lead the Quakers with two doubles victories of the season. 

Series History: Mount Union has won seven straight matches against Wilmington
