Men's Tennis Looks to Close the Fall Undefeated on Friday

The Mount Union's men's tennis team looks to close the fall season undefeated when they travel to Grove City (Pa.) Oct. 4 and face-off against Grove City at 3:30 p.m.

In the previous two matches, the Purple Raiders defeated Franciscan (5-4) and Penn State-Behrend (9-0).

In singles, the Raiders have a combined 9-3, with Rob DeMarco (North Canton/ Hoover), Jeff Williams (Cleveland Heights/ St. Edwards) and Dominic Marino (Cuyahoga Falls/ Cuyahoga Falls) winning each of their matches.

The Raiders have an overall record of 5-1 in doubles action. Their only loss coming to Franciscan.

Grove City (Pa.) stands 0-3 on the season, with their last loss coming from West Liberty (W.Va.) 9-0.

Mount Union and Grove City last met March 19, 2009, the Raiders defeated the Wolverines 5-4.

The Purple Raiders return to the courts on March 4, 2014 against Adrian (Mich.).
