Mount Union enters the matchup off an 9-0 win against Washington and Jefferson (Pa.) . The Purple Raiders swept the Presidents (2-2) in doubles and won all six singles spots. Jeff Williams (Cleveland Heights/Lakewood St. Edward) won at first doubles and second singles to help in the effort.His singles win secured the fifth point to give Mount Union the win.
Franciscan comes into the match off an 8-1 loss to Ave Maria. The Barons saw their only win from the No.2 doubles team of David Freytag and Zach Quiza.
The last meeting between Mount Union and Franciscan resulted in a close 5-4 win for the Raiders.
The Raiders will be back in action when they open OAC play on the road against Baldwin Wallace. The match is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start.
