Men's Tennis: Mount Union Sweeps Grove City 9-0

ALLIANCE, Ohio-The Mount Union men's tennis team swept Grove City College (Pa.) 9-0 in the team's fall season opener Friday afternoon. 

The Purple Raiders are now 1-0 on the season. 

The Raiders swept the doubles play with Rob DeMarco (North Canton/Hoover) and Jeff Williams (Cleveland Heights/St. Edwards) defeating Grove City's (0-5) Zack Sprunger and Andrew Graber in position one. Jackson Schneider (Oregon, Wis./Oregon) and Robert Cross defeated Grove City's Edward Doyle and Nate Roberts 8-2 in the second position.

The Raiders won all six matches in singles play, shutting out Grove City.

Mount Union next competes on Friday, Sept. 23 at Penn State-Behrend at 3:30 p.m.
