Men's Tennis: Four Raiders Named to All-OAC Teams; DeMarco Earns Third Straight First-Team Pick

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio -- Four Mount Union men's tennis players have been selected to the 2017 All-Ohio Athletic Conference Teams by the conference's head coaches. 

Senior Rob DeMarco (North Canton/Hoover) is a First-Team All-OAC selection for the third straight year and is a four-time all-conference selection after being an honorable mention pick in 2014. He went 13-5 in first position singles and 16-5 in first doubles this season, and closes his career with an overall combined record of 105-44. 

Mount Union's second First-Team selection is in junior Jackson Schneider (Oregon, Wis./Oregon), who went a combined 32-9 on the season.

Senior Jeff Williams (Cleveland Heights/Lakewood St. Edward) earned All-OAC Second Team honors for the first time, and is a three-time all-conference selection after earning honorable mention in 2015 and 2016. He closed the season at 15-5 in singles play and 16-4 in doubles to end his career with an overall combined record of 106-41. 

Freshman Robert Cross (North Canton/Hoover) earned an All-OAC Honorable Mention selection after completing his first season with an overall record of 30-6.

The Purple Raiders finished their season 16-5 overall and 7-1 in conference play.
