Men's Tennis: Raiders Open Season with Dominant Win over Penn State-Behrend

ERIE, Pa. -- Mount Union's men's tennis team defeated Penn State-Behrend (1-2) 8-1 in their season opener on the road Friday afternoon.

The Purple Raiders (1-0) swept doubles to kick off the match then carried that over into the singles matches winning five of six.

Zach Teffner (Cortland / Lakeview) teamed with Robert Cross (North Canton / Hoover) to score an 8-2 win at No. 1 doubles then Teffner had a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles to lead the way for the Raiders.

Mount Union returns home to host Wooster on Friday, Sept. 21 at 3:30 p.m. at the Whitehill Tennis Courts on campus.
