Men's Tennis: Raiders Top Grove City to End Non-Conference Play

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Mount Union men's tennis team defeated Grove City (Pa.) (3-5), 8-1, on the road Wednesday night at the Walter-Zbell Tennis Courts.

The Purple Raiders (6-3) swept the doubles competition as the duo of sophomores Justin Kelley (Uniontown/Lake) and Antonio Massucci (Ashtabula/St. John) allowed just a point, winning 8-1. Kelley also secured a shutout in one of his singles sets with scores of 6-0 and 6-2.

Junior Jacob Barton (Madison) also blanked his singles opponent in the first set, 6-0, and went on to win the second, 6-4.

Mount Union begin Ohio Athletic Conference competition at Saturday, March 23 as the host Otterbein at the Whitehill Tennis Courts for a 1 p.m. start.
