Men's Tennis: Raiders Swept in Spring Trip Opener

HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The Mount Union men's tennis team was swept by Lawrence Tech (Mich.) 9-0 in their spring season opening match Sunday morning at the Hilton Head Beach and Tennis Club.

The Purple Raiders fall to 3-2 overall while the Lawrence Tech Blue Devils improve to 3-6. 

Mount Union fell behind early getting swept in doubles competition. Senior Robert Cross (North Canton / Hoover) suffered a loss by a tie-breaker in No. 1 singles 6-3, 6-4, 10-3, while the rest of the singles were sweeps.

The Raiders return to action in Hilton Head, S.C. Tuesday, March 10 taking on Gordon (Mass.) at 8:30 a.m.
