Men's Tennis: Raiders Win First Match of Spring Season

HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The Mount Union men's tennis team defeated Greenville (Ill.) 6-3 in their first win of the Spring season at the Chaplin Park Tennis Center.

The Purple Raiders (3-3) claimed five singles and one doubles victories.

Leading the way for Mount Union were seniors Robert Cross (North Canton / Hoover) and Zach Teffner (Cortland / Lakeview) winning at No.1 doubles 8-6 and claiming individual wins at No. 1 and No. 3 singles in two sets. 

Other wins came from senior Jacob Barton (Madison) at No. 2 singles, junior Justin Kelley (Uniontown / Lake) at No. 4 singles, and sophomore Jordan Rosedale (Massillon / Massillon Jackson) at No. 5 singles. 

The Raiders return to the courts Thursday, March 12 taking on Nazareth (N.Y.) at 1 p.m. in Hilton Head, S.C.
