Men's Tennis: Five Raiders Earn ITA Scholar Athlete Honors

TEMPE, Ariz. -- Five members of the Mount Union men's tennis team have earned Scholar Athlete honors from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

To qualify, a student-athlete had to have at least a 3.5 grade point average.

The Purple Raiders that have earned the award include

  • Senior Jacob Barton (Madison) has a 3.709 grade point average and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
  • Senior Robert Cross (North Canton / Hoover) has a 3.530 grade point average and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Junior Justin Kelley (Uniontown / Lake) has a 3.765 grade point average as a Sport Business major
  • Junior Jacob Labonte (Erie, Pa. / Cathedral Prep) has a 3.695 grade point average as an Accounting and Finance major.
  • Sophomore Max Rosedale (Massillon / Massillon Jackson) has a 3.608 grade point average as a Biochemistry major.

Mount Union went 4-3 before the CoVID-19 pandemic stopped the 2020 season.
