Griffin and Nadeau Score Wins For Men's Track at Mount Union Open

(ALLIANCE, OH)--Mount Union senior Mickey Nadeau (Louisville/Louisville) and junior Ty Griffin (Massillon/Massillon Perry) scored wins 5000 meters and 1000 meters respectively to lead the men's indoor track and field team at the Mount Union Open at the Peterson Fieldhouse in Alliance.

Second place finishes came from sophomore Tim Kelly (Lakewood/Lakewood) in the 800 meters (1:55.98) and junior Scott Wolfe (East Palestine/East Palestine) in the 3000 meters (8:57.41).

Senior Judd Lutz (Tiffin/Tiffin Columbian) posted a second place (50-11) in the shot put and right behind him freshman Jesus Garza (Round Rock, TX/Stony Point) had his best mark of the season with a third place finish (50-0).

Freshman Charles Pratt (Canton/GlenOak) earned a third place finish in the 200 meters (22.85) to round out the top performances for the men.

Mount Union competes next weekend in the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships at Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio.
