GRINNELL, Iowa -- Mount Union senior Jocelyn Sefick (Willowick/Eastlake North) and freshman Louis Berry (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shadyside Academy) both earned All-American honors Saturday at the NCAA Division III Track & Field Championships at Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa.

Sefick posted a mark of 5-feet, 6.5-inches to take fifth place in the high jump. Gladys Njoku of Stevens Tech (N.J.) won the event with a mark of 5-8.75.

She is the first woman at Mount Union to be in All-American in the high jump since Nicole Chaddock in 1997.

Berry finished sixth in the 60 meter dash with a time of 6.90.  He also played defensive back on the Mount Union football team this past fall and had an interception in the national title game to help Purple Raiders secure their record 12th national title. Alex Koenen of Wisconsin-LaCrosse won the event with a time of 6.73.

Junior Zack Wukotich (Salem/Salem) just missed out on All-American honors in the high jump. Wukotich posted a mark of 6-feet, 6.25-inches which left him in a seven-way tie for fifth and after tiebreakers were applied left him in ninth place -- one spot out of All-American recognition. Robert Starnes of Wisconsin-Whitewater won the event with a mark of 7-0.25.
