WOOSTER, Ohio -- The No. 20 ranked Mount Union men's track and field team splashed through a wet first day at the Wooster Invitational Friday in Wooster, Ohio.
Junior Joe Colon (Amherst/Steele) literally splashed as he finshed third in the 3000 meter steeplechase with a career-best time of 9:50.74.
Fellow junior Adam Sopchak (Chardon/Chardon) was fifth in the 5,000 meters with a time of 15:36.89.
Only four events were contested on day one as the high jump originally slated for today was pushed to Saturday due to the inclement weather.
Events on Saturday are slated to begin with field events at 11 a.m. and running events at 1 p.m.
