Men's Track and Field: #2 Mount Union Wins Six Events at Raider Tune-Up

ALLIANCE, Ohio – The No. 2 ranked Mount Union men's indoor track and field team won six events in Raider Tune-Up Saturday at Peterson Fieldhouse in Alliance.

The wins included four season-best marks from Clark Etzler (Elida) in the 500 meters (1:07.56), Jalen McGill (Laurel, Md. / High Point) in the long jump (22-6.25), Jonathon Wahlie (Lima / Shawnee) in the 1,000 meters (2:39.96) and Darian Littlejohn (Fulton, Md. / Reservoir) in the 60 meter dash.

Two other wins came from Matt Keim (Bolivar / Tusky Valley) in the pole vault (16-0) and Sean Sherman (Franklin / Bishop Fenwick) in the shot put (52-11.5).

Another season-best came from Malik Britt (Bossier City, La. / Airline) with a second place finish in the 60 meter hurdles (8.10).

Other second place finishes came from Zack Metz (Wadsworth) in the pole vault (14-11.5) and Seth Calhoun (Geneva) in the in the shot put (49-4.25).

Next week the Purple Raiders look to defend their title at the Ohio Athletic Conference Indoor Championships at Capital University in Columbus.
