Men's Track and Field: #11 Mount Union Has Four NCAA Provisional Marks at Homon Open

ALLIANCE, Ohio – The No. 11 ranked Mount Union men's track and field team had four NCAA provisional qualifying performances Saturday at the John Homon Open at Mount Union Stadium.

The Purple Raiders won four events on the day led by sophomore Matt Keim (Boivar / Tusky Valley) in the pole vault, who had a season-best and nation's third-best mark so far this year at 16-feet, 6.5-inches.

Sophomore AJ Digby (Tontogany/Otsego) won the 400 meters with the nation's fifth-best time at 48.39 while Jaquill Scott (East Hanover, N.J. / Hanover Park) won the javelin with a mark of 197-feet, 9-inches which stands ninth in the nation.

The Raiders other event win came from senior Jalen McGill (Laurel, Md. / High Point) in the in the long jump (22-2.25) while the other provisional mark was from sophomore Mason Plant (Shreve / Triway) in the posted the nation's four-best time in the 110 meter hurdles placing second at 14.54.

Mount Union competes next weekend at two different meets – the Walsh Invitational and the Bucknell Outdoor Classic.
