Mount Union Ranked Third in USTFCCCA Men's Indoor Track & Field Preseason Rankings

NEW ORLEANS -- Mount Union's men's indoor track and field team is ranked third in the preseason national rankings done by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

The Purple Raiders finished runner-up a year ago and Mount Union returns five All-Americans off that squad.

Senior teammates Mason Plant (Shreve / Triway) and Connor Troyer (Sugarcreek / Garaway) were co-national chapmions in the 60 meter hurdles. 

Three members of the national champion 4x400 meter relay team return in seniors James Roth (Massillon / Perry), AJ Digby (Tontogany / Otsego) and Troyer.

The Raiders bring back senior Sean Sherman (Franklin / Bishop Fenwick) who finished fifth place in the shot put.

UW-Lacrosse is on top of the rankings followed by UW-Oshkosh in second.

The NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships will be held March 13-14 at JDL Fast Track in Winston Salem, N.C.
