Mount Union Sweeps OAC Men's Indoor Track and Field Weekly Awards

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio -- Mount Union swept the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week Awards (2/3).

Senior Connor Troyer (Sugarcreek / Garaway) claimed OAC Indoor Track Athlete of the Week of honors by posting the second fastest time in the nation in the 60-meter hurdles at 8.05 seconds at last week's NYC DIII Invitational in New York City, New York.

This is Troyer's first athlete of the week award this season and third of his career.

Senior Sean Sherman (Franklin / Bishop Fenwick) also nabbed OAC Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honors as he won the men's shot put with a mark of 54-feet to win the event at the Dr. William Taraschke Team Challenge in Berea, Ohio.

This is Shermans's first athlete of the week award this season and third of his career.

Mount Union hosts the Jim Wuske Invitational next Saturday on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 10 a.m. at Peterson Field House in Alliance, Ohio.
