Mount Union Track and Field Earns 22 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field All-Region Honorees

NEW ORLEANS – All-Region honorees for the 2020 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field season were announced on Monday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) with Mount Union Track and Field having 12 men and 10 women earning All-Region.

To earn All-Region honors, an athlete must be one of the top-5 individuals in their event in their respective region. In addition, each member of a region's top-3 relay team was selected for the distinction.

For the men Mason Plant (Shreve / Triway) and  Connor Troyer (Sugarcreek / Garaway) were All-Region in the 60-meter hurdles. The 4x400 meter relay team consisting of AJ Digby (Tontogany / Otsego), James Roth (Massillon / Massillon Perry), Matthew McBride (Conneaut) and Jared Storm (Barberton). All four men also were All-Region in the 400.

In the field events for the men Brody Coleman (Knox, Pa. / Keystone) in the triple jump, Lucas Cooper (Hanoverton / United Local) in the shot put, Jeremiah Gyulai (Stow) with the weight throw, Evan Hershberger (Dalton) in the high jump, Sean Sherman (Franklin / Bishop Fenwick) for the shot put, and Kyel Wolff (Cleveland / Cuyahoga Heights) with the pole vault all earned All-Region.

The women earned All-Region with the Distance Medley Relay ran by Cortni Arp (Copley), Katie Durisin (Painesville / Riverside), Sarah Mason (Alliance / Marlington), and Brit McCauley (Ontairo). Arp and Mason were joined by Lily Bogunovich (Alliance / Marlington) and Micah Donley (Carrollton) to pick up All-Region honors in the 4x400 meter relay.

Arp along with Kenadee Wayt (Wheeling W.V. / Wheeling Central Catholic) picked up All-Region in the 200, Wayt picked up another All-Region honor in the 60 meter dash.

In the 60-meter hurdles Sabrina Stocker (Madison) earned All-Region while Mason was an All-Region selection in the 800 and Bogunovich earned another All-Region honor in the 400.

Kennady Gibbins (Navarre / Fairless) was selected for All-Region in the pentathlon.

In the field events Bri Aveni (Geneva) pole vault and Gibbins in the long jump and high jump earned All-Region.
