Mount Union's Chad Palmer Finalist For USTFCCCA Award

NEW ORLEANS -- Mount Union assistant track and field coach Chad Palmer has been named a finalist for the NCAA Division III National Indoor Assistant Coach of the Year by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches of America.

Earlier this year, Palmer was named USTFCCCA Great Lakes Region Assistant Men's Coach of the Year for the first time in his career.

Palmer has guided seniors Mason Plant (Shreve / Triway) and Connor Troyer (Sugarcreek / Garaway) to the No. 1 and No. 3 seeds respectively in Division III this year in the 60-meter hurdles. Both shared the national title in the 60 meter hurdles indoors a year ago.
