Men's Cross Country Opens Season at Daniel Walker Invitational

The Purple Raiders were led by senior Dan Whisler (Ashland/Ashland) with a 9th place overall finish (27:04).  Also in the top 20 for the raiders were junior Scott Wolfe (East Palestine/East Palestine) in 10th place (27:13) and senior Bryce Basista (North Ridgeville/Elyria Catholic) in 17th place (27:23).

Rounding out the top seven spots for Mount included junior Erik Reed (East Liverpool/East Liverpool) in 21st place (27:28), sophomore David Fiser (Rootstown/Rootstown) in 34th place (28:30), senior Bryan McIntyre (North Canton/Hoover) in 36th place (28:36), and sophomore Tim Kelly (Lakewood/Lakewood) in 42nd place (28:47).

Mount Union will be in action next Saturday at the Ric Sayre Invitational, hosted by Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio.
