Men's Cross Country 4th at NCAA Regional; Basista 8th Overall Qualifies For National Meet

Senior Bryce Basista (North Ridgeville/Elyria Catholic) placed eighth overall and clinched an automatic invitation to next week's NCAA Division III Championships at the Highland Hills Golf Course in Cleveland.

Junior Ty Griffin (Massillon/Massillon Perry) placed 10th overall and he and the rest of the Purple Raiders are near the top of a list of possible at-large teams and individuals waiting word if they will make the National meet.

Sophomore Tim Kelly (Lakewood/Lakewood) finished 47th, junior Erik Reed (East Liverpool/East Liverpool) and senior Mickey Nadeau (Louisville/Louisville) placed 63rd and 64th, while junior Scott Wolfe (East Palestine/East Palestine) and senior Dan Whisler (Ashland/Ashland) rounded out the Raiders with 99th and 106th place finishes.
