Men's Cross Country to Run at All-Ohio Championships Friday

Mount Union's men's cross country team will compete at the All-Ohio Championships Friday at Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio.  Follow all the action here.

The men's 8k race starts at 2 pm and the link above will provide complete information including results, course information and directions.

Since 1955, the Purple Raiders have won 10 team titles -- the most of any NCAA Division III school with the last title coming in 2006.

Mount Union's Dave Cooper was the individual champion of all levels in 1997.

This year's Raiders find themselves not in the regional rankings but coming off solid second and third place finishes respectively at the Ric Sayre/Walsh Invite and the Calvin (Mich.) Knight Invite.

Top runners include seniors Erik Reed (East Liverpool/East Liverpool) and Tim Kelly (Lakewood/Lakewood) along with junior Matt Miller (Lakewood/Lakewoon) and sophomores Joshua Clemence (Akron/Firestone) and Nate Grimm (Lisbon/Leetonia).

After racing at the All-Ohio, the Raiders will next compete at the Oberlin Regional Rumble on Oct. 15 in Oberlin, Ohio.
