Men's Cross Country Wins Record-Setting 26th OAC Championship

WILMINGTON, Ohio -- The Mount Union men's cross country won its record 26th Ohio Athletic Conference Championship on Saturday afternoon in Wilmington, Ohio.  

The Raiders (45 points) won the event handily, topping second-place Ohio Northern (76 points) by 31 points.  John Carroll (94) finished third.

Junior Josh Clemence (Akron/Firestone), freshman Alex Wilson (Macedonia/Nordonia) and junior Nate Grimm (Lisbon/Leetonia) finished 4-5-6 for the Raiders with times of 25:56.5, 25:56.7 and 26:01.2, respectively.  Sophomore Nick Banks (Bay Village/Bay) logged a time of 26:18.1 to finish 13th and Jon Karmazin (Salem/United Local) grabbed 17th with a time of 26:20.0.

Marietta's Caleb Muller (24:51.0) captured the individual title.

The Raiders next compete at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional on Nov. 10.
