Mount Union Finishes 28th at NCAA Men's Cross Country Championships

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Mount Union finished 28th at the NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country Championships Saturday at Tom Sawyer Park in Louisville, Ky.

The Purple Raiders had 655 points which was 15 points behind 27th place Washington & Lee (Va.).

North Central (Ill.) won the 32-team event with 60 points.

Freshman Preston Myers (Alliance/Marlington) was the top finisher for the Raiders in 54th place with a time of 25:09.04.

The rest of the Mount Union team was Matt O'Neil (Woodbridge, Va./Pope John Paul) in 117th place, Adam Sopchak (Chardon/Chardon) in 210th place, Nick Thomas (Louisville/Louisville) in 239th place, Colten Trimble (Hookstown, Pa./South Side Area) in 260th place, Jon Bach (Wadsworth/Wadsworth) in 265th place and Josh Thorne in 277th place (Alexandria, Va./Thomas Edison).
