Men's Cross Country: Raider's Picked Fourth in OAC Preseason Coaches Poll

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – The Mount Union men's cross country team was selected fourth in the preseason Ohio Athletic Conference coaches poll.

The Purple Raiders gathered 59 votes which was five points behind third place Ohio Northern (64 pts.).

The Raiders finished fourth at last year's OAC Championship race and are led this year by senior Jon Bach (Wadsworth/Wadsworth), who finished ninth overall and earned all-conference honors a year ago.

Fellow senior Jared Marsh (Massillon / Jackson) is also an all-conference returner while other top returners include junior Nicky Landis (Navarre/Fairless) along with sophomores Logan Brown (South Charleston/Northeastern) and Hunter Probert (Midvale/Indian Valley)

Mount Union opens the season Friday, August 30 at the Quaker Open at Wilmington College in Wilmington, Ohio.

The OAC Championship is Saturday, November 2 in Twinsburg, Ohio.
