Men's Cross Country: Career Bests lead Mount Union at Pre-Nationals

LOUISVILLE, Ky.—Mount Union's men cross country team finished 13th at the Pre-National Saturday afternoon at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park.

The Purple Raiders were led by senior Preston Myers (Alliance / Marlington) finishing 27th overall with a time of 24:58.5.

Mount Union's freshman Jeff Joseph (Beloit / West Branch) and senior Jon Bach (Wadsworth) finished 60st and 61st with times of 25:34.4 and 25:35.3 respectively while also running career bests for both.

Juniors Nikita Landis (Navarre / Fairless) 96th and John Wahlie (Lima / Shawnee) 116th rounded out scoring for the Purple Raiders with times of 26:07.8 and 26:15.9 both being career best as well.

Sophomore Hunter Probert (New Philadelphia / Indian Valley) 26:52.4 and freshman Forrest Long (Geneva) 28:17.5 competed for Mount Union as well.

North Central (Ill.) finished first with a team score of 85 points with Mount Union finishing 13th with a total of 360 points.

Mount Union next competes Saturday, Oct. 19 at 11am at the Inter-Regional Rumble hosted by Oberlin College.
