Men's Cross Country: Joseph and Myers Qualify For NCAA Cross Country Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- University of Mount Union senior Preston Myers (Alliance / Marlington) and freshman Jeff Joseph (Beloit / West Branch) have both qualified for the NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country Championship Saturday, November 23 at the E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Kentucky.

Both are in the championship as individual selections being among the first seven student-athlete finishers from each region not a part of a qualifying team.

Myers finished 13th (24:31.47) and Joseph 21st (24:37.25) at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional this past Saturday in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Myers is making his second national meet appearance after placing 54th in 2016 ironically on the same course in Kentucky that will host this year's race.

Both runners were also All-Ohio Athletic Conference first team runners after Myers placed fourth and Joseph fifth at last month's OAC Championships

The men's race will begin at 10:45 a.m.
