(KISSIMMEE, FL)—Mount Union College freshman Bre Willis (Navarre/Fairless) pitched a complete game, four-hitter in a 3-0 win over Geneva (PA) College at the Rebel Spring Games Tuesday in Kissimmee, Florida.

Mount Union suffered a 3-1 loss to Transylvania (KY) University in the second game to stand at 4-2 overall on the season.

Willis faced just four hitters over the minimum and only once did Geneva get a runner past second base as she went to 2-1 on the season.

Willis also was staked to an early 2-0 lead as Mara Palombaro (Boardman/Cardinal Mooney) drove in a run on a sacrifice fly RBI and Alex Lucak (Maple Heights/Trinity) had an RBI single as the Raiders had four hits in the first inning.

Palombaro drove in an insurance run on a fielder's choice with bases loaded in the fifth.

Lauren Schollaert (Medina/Medina Senior), Meghan Simons (Minerva/Minerva) and Ashley Henriques (Canton/GlenOak) each had two hits for Mount Union.

In the second game, Mount Union handed Transylvania two runs on an error and two walks in the fourth inning.

Palombaro had an RBI single to get a run back in the sixth, but Transy would get three hits in the bottom of the frame to push another run across and held as the Raiders got two runners on in the seventh for a 3-1 victory.

Mount Union takes Wednesday off and comes back Thursday to take on Albion (MI) College at 11 a.m. and Simpson (IA) College at 3 p.m. Thursday.
