Softball: Rain Causes Schedule Change

ALLIANCE, Ohio-- The University of Mount Union softball game at John Carroll has been rescheduled from Tuesday, Mar. 31 to Wednesday, April 1 at 3 pm due to rain.

There will be LIVE Stats and LIVE Video of the double header available.

The Purple Raiders (10-8, 3-1 OAC) snapped a three-game losing streak defeating Ohio Northern 9-8 Saturday.

On the year, the Raiders are led by sophomore Olivia Schumacher (Gahanna/Gahanna Lincoln) who is second in the OAC hitting a .551 batting average and scoring 18 runs off of 38 hits.

Freshman Brittany Baitt (Painesville/Riverside) follows with 27 hits while leading the team with 15 runs batted in.

On the mound for the Raiders, junior Erin Simmons (Suffield/Field) is leading the team with 61.1 innings pitched with 30 strikeouts while being ranked fifth in the conference with five wins.

Mount Union remains on the road to take on Heidelberg Friday, April 3 at 1 pm in Tiffin.
