Softball: Mount Union Loses First Game of the Day to York (Pa.)

CLERMONT, Fla. – Mount Union's softball team lost to York (Pa.), 7-1, Friday in Clermont, Florida.

Jordan Kramer (Mentor/Mentor) had two hits and Jessica Kennedy (Beach City/Fairless) drove in a run to lead the Purple Raiders on offense but four errors resulted in four unearned runs for York.

Andi Vansickle (Loudonville/Loudonville) took the loss pitching for Mount Union as she allowed three runs on three hits with two strikeouts.

York scored three runs in the second, Mount Union came back with a run in the fourth but four more unanswered runs from York made for the 7-1 final.

Mount Union (5-6) takes on Wartburg (Iowa) at 3 p.m. Friday in Florida.
