ALLIANCE, Ohio- Mount Union's women's softball team hosts Case Western Reserve Wednesday, March 23 in a non-conference double header starting at 3:00 pm.

What: Mount Union (11-7) vs. Case Western Reserve (9-13)

When: Wednesday, March 23 – 3:00 pm & 5:00 p.m.

Where: 23rd Street Field – Alliance, Ohio  

Game Preview

The Purple Raiders split a pair of games with Ohio Wesleyan as they rallied for a 6-5 win in the opener then lost 10-2 in the second game in the home opener Sunday at 23rd Street Field.

The loss in game two snapped a six-game win streak for the Purple Raiders and makes them 11-7 on the season.

Brittany Baitt (Painsville/Riverside) is leading the team, playing all 18 games, with a .492 batting average with 63 at bats and 31 hits. 

On the mound for the Raiders, Allie Scali (Parma/Parma) is leading with 61 strikeouts and 66.1 innings pitched. 

Case Western Reserve swept Ohio Northern in a double-header Sunday, March 20. They defeated the Polar Bears 3-2 in the first game and 10-3 in the second game.

Lindsey Robinson is leading the Spartans with a .391 with 69 at bats and 27 hits. On the mound for Case Western, Annie Wennerberg is leading with 71 strikeouts and 88 innings pitched.
