Softball: Raiders Host Baldwin Wallace in First OAC Match-Up

ALLIANCE, Ohio -- Mount Union's women's softball team hosts Baldwin Wallace in their first Ohio Athletic Conference series Saturday, March 26 starting at 1 pm.

What: Mount Union (12-8, 0-0 OAC) vs. Baldwin Wallace (5-7, 0-0 OAC)

When: Saturday, March 26 – 1:00 pm & 3:00 p.m.

Game Preview

Mount Union split a pair of games with Case Western Reserve Wednesday, March 23 at 23rd Street Field in Alliance, Ohio.

The Purple Raiders rallied for a 9-7 win in the first game then lost 10-6 in a second game shortened by darkness which makes them 12-8 on the season.

Sophomore Brittany Baitt (Painsville/Riverside) leads the team, playing all 20 games, with a .486 batting average, 70 at bats and 34 hits.

On the mound for the Raiders, Allie Scali (Parma/Parma) is leading the team with 66 strikeouts and74.1 innings pitched as she is 6-5 on the season.

Baldwin Wallace defeated Beloit (Wis.) 4-0 Friday, March 11 on their spring break trip.

The Yellow Jackets are led by Paige Loveless with a .333 batting average, 33 at bats and 11 hits. Samantha Dostall leads the pitchers with 34 strikeouts and 39.1 innings pitched.
