Softball: Baitt and Goldy Earn All-OAC Honors; Goldy Also Named Rookie of the Year

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio -- Mount Union senior Brittany Baitt (Painesville / Riverside) and freshman Allie Goldy (Painesville / Riverside) were named to the 2018 All-Ohio Athletic Conference Softball teams by the conference's head coaches. 

Baitt, who is making her third straight all-conference selection with as a second team pick this year, appeared in 35 games in center field, starting 33, while batting .354 with 20 RBI, 21 runs and seven doubles, a triple and 11 stolen bases. She finishes her career tied for the Mount Union all-time record in triples with 18.

Goldy became the second straight Purple Raider to win OAC Rookie of the Year honors. She also earned All-OAC First Team honors at second base as she played in 36 games with a .426 batting average, 20 RBI, 22 runs, two triples, two home runs and led the team in doubles with 12.

Mount Union closed out the 2018 season with a record of 16-22 overall and 7-11 in the OAC.
