#7/9 Women's Basketball Back in The MAAC, Will Host JCU

ALLIANCE, Ohio -- Mount Union's women's basketball team will return to the McPherson Academic and Athletic Complex on Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. when it hosts John Carroll in Ohio Athletic Conference action.

The Purple Raiders (5-0, 1-0) are currently ranked seventh on the D3Hoops.com poll and ninth on the ESPN/USA Today poll.

In the Raiders' last game, Amanda Rose (Uniontown/Green) scored 17 points, leading five scorers in double-figures, as Mount Union rallied from a nine-point halftime deficit to defeat Otterbein, 68-64.

Rosa LaMattina (Westlake/Westlake) is leading Mount Union with 14.2 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. She has shot 52.6 percent (10 of 19) from three-point land.

Kori Wiedt (North Olmsted/North Olmsted) is averaging 12.2 points while Brittany Kilgore is averaging 10.4 points and 5.4 rebounds.

As a team, the Raiders have forced 22.2 turnovers per game and have given up 14.6 per game.

The Blue Streaks (4-2, 0-1) are led by three-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference honoree Lee Jennings (Stow/Stow-Munroe Falls), who is averaging 23.8 points, 8.5 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 1.0 block per game.

Also for JCU, Emilee Ritches (Stow/Stow-Munroe Falls) has scored 17.3 points per game and Missy Spahar (Willowick/Lake Catholic) is averaging 12.5 points and 8.2 rebounds.
