LaMattina All-OAC First Team and Co-Player of the Year; Allen and Daniel All-OAC Honorable Mention
AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Senior guard Rosa LaMattina (Westlake/Westlake) was selected to All-Ohio Athletic Conference First Team and selected as co-Player of the Year for the second straight season.
It is just the third time in conference history that two players share the Helen Ludwig OAC Player of the Year Award. This is the conference and Mount Union's second straight season with a co-Player of the Year.
LaMattina led the team and was fifth in the conference in scoring at 16.3 points per game, while leading the OAC in steals (3.0 per game) and second in assists (4.9 per game). Along with being an All-OAC First Team and co-Player of the Year this year, she was the 2012 co-Player of the year and All-OAC First Team, the 2010 OAC Freshman of the Year and has been an All-OAC Second Team selection in 2010 and 2011. The senior guard became the school's all-time leading scorer with 1,606 points in her career.
Allen and Daniel were selected to All-OAC Honorable Mention as they are tied for second on the team with points per game (8.4), Allen led the team in rebounds at 7.0 per game as Daniel placed third with 4.8 rebounds per game.
