WESTERVILLE, Ohio -- The Mount Union women's basketball team fell to Otterbein 58-54 in an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup Saturday at Rike Center in Westerville, Ohio.
With the loss, Mount Union drops to 5-3 overall and 0-3 in the conference.
Junior Tabatha Piper had a game-high 15 points, and had 12 rebounds leading the way for the Cardinals (4-4, 1-2 OAC).
Mount Union would hold it's largest and only lead of three in the early minutes of action, when they opened the game with a three-ball from Osborne to lead 3-0.
The Raiders would lead 24-23 with 5:56 left in the first half, before Otterbein would go on a 8-0 run to lead 32-24 going into halftime.
Mount Union ripped off a 10-0 run to pull within four of the Cardinals with 12:31 left in the second half, 36-40. The Raiders would pull within one point at the 5:35, 50-51 off a Grippi jumper, but Otterbein would hold on for the 58-54 victory.
The Raiders travel to Berea, Ohio to take on Baldwin Wallace in an OAC game at Rudolph Ursprung Gymnasium at 7:30 pm on Wednesday, December 18th.
