AT A GLANCE

The Purple Raiders will travel to Ohio Wesleyan to play in the Hoops for Hope Tournament this Sunday (December 29) and Monday (December 30) at the Branch Rickey Arena in Delaware, Ohio.

The Purple Raiders will play Bethany (W.Va) College at 1 pm in the consolation game. The two teams played each other earlier this season and the Raiders scored a 74-62 win in Bethany. 

SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS

The Bulldogs are 5-4 overall and 2-1 in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) and are coming off  a 80-57 victory over Anderson (Ind.) (Dec. 21).

Adrian averages 71.4 points per game, while their opponents average 71.1 points per game.

The Bulldogs are led by LaQwana Dockery who averages 16.0 points per game and is ranked third in the MIAA, and leads the team with 6.8 rebounds per game.

SCOUTING THE BISON

Bethany is 3-4 overall and 2-1 in the Presidents Athletic Conference (PAC) and are coming off a 68-62 victory against Geneva (Dec. 14).

The Bison average 63.9 points per game, while their opponents average 71.3 points per game.

Bethany is led by Taylor Verrico who averages 14.4 points per game, ranking her seventh in the conference and averages 8.9 rebounds per game.

Mount Union defeated Bethany earlier in the year on Dec. 2, 2013, 74-62 in Bethany, W.Va.

SCOUTING THE BATTLING BISHOPS

Ohio Wesleyan is 4-5 overall and 1-1 in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) and are coming off a 75-65 victory over OAC member Wilmington (Dec. 20).

The Battling Bishop average 59.8 points per game, while their opponents average 62.2 points per game.

Ohio Wesleyan is led by Sarah McQuade who averages 10.7 points per game, and LaNiece McRae averages 7.8 rebounds per game.

CLEAN SLATE

Mount Union is on a four-game skid having lost their first four conference matchups, most recently a 73-52 loss to Baldwin Wallace (Dec. 18) in Berea.
