Women's Basketball: Mount Union Picked Seventh in OAC Preseason Coaches' Poll

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio- Mount Union women's basketball team has been picked seventh in the Ohio Athletic Conference preseason coaches' poll.

The Purple Raiders, who received 37 total points, return three starters—senior guard Annie Bova, senior point guard Colleen Kennehan and senior center Sarah Grippi- from a squad that went 10-16 a year ago and lost in the quarterfinal round of the OAC Tournament.

Capital was selected first in the poll with 79 total points and seven first place votes while Baldwin Wallace and Ohio Northern were tied for second with each having 68 points. Baldwin Wallace had one first place vote while Ohio Northern had two. John Carroll was ranked fourth with 56 points.

Mount Union opens its season on the road against Kalamazoo Sunday, Nov. 15 at 2 pm.
