Women's Basketball: Mount Union Hosts M-Club Classic Friday and Saturday

ALLIANCE, Ohio- Mount Union's women's basketball team hosts the M-Club Classic Friday, November 20 and Saturday, Nov. 21 at the McPherson Academic and Athletic Complex in Alliance, Ohio.

Schedule:

  • Saturday, November 21
  • Consolation, 3 p.m. / Championship, 5 p.m.

Ticket Information:

  • Doors open an hour before tip-off
  • $5 for all tickets - one ticket grants admission to both games during the day
  • No Passes will be granted.

Who is the M-Club:

A student-athlete lettering in a varsity sport (Men's & Women's) at Mount Union is automatically eligible to be a member of M Club upon graduation.

Support the organization that supports current Mount Union athletes through membership gifts.  Membership levels are available to support at a level you're comfortable with plus a portion going directly to the sport of your choice.  Check the Membership page for details!

  • The M Club serves to raise additional revenue to supplement the annual operations and capital budget of the athletic programs to be more competitive.
  • The major activities of the Club include the Athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony, e-Newsletter 4x a year, Membership Gift Drive, the Annual Golf Outing, and other fund raising events
  • Members receive a membership card granting free admission to all regular season on-campus athletic events after a yearly membership gift is received plus satisfaction that part of their gift supported a team of their choice.

Scouting Mount Union:

Mount Union (1-0) started their 2015-16 season with a 76-49 win Sunday at Kalamazoo (Mich.).

The Raiders were led by senior Annie Bova (Parma Heights/Beaumont) who had 21 points and five rebounds while fellow senior Katie Reed (Alliance/Marlington) had a team-high seven rebounds along with nine points.

Scouting Elmira:

The Soaring Eagles (0-1) opened the season with a 77-64 loss to Pitt-Bradford as sophomore Danielle Cleary had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Scouting Waynesburg (Pa.):

Wanyesburg (0-1) also opened the season with a loss as the Yellow Jackets fell 60-50 to Penn State-Behrend.  Senior Heather Davis led the way with 15 points and 16 rebounds.

Scouting Case Western Reserve:

The Spartans (0-2) dropped their first two games of the season including a 72-63 defeat Tuesday to fellow Ohio Athletic Conference member Baldwin Wallace. Sophomore Kara Hageman scored a career high of 26 points with eight rebounds and four assists in the loss.
