LIBURN, Ga. -- Mount Union women's basketball senior Haley Roddy (Medina/Highland) has been selected by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) to receive the Charles T. Stoner Law Scholarship for 2017.
The scholarship is presented annually to one senior collegiate women's basketball player from any four-year institution who intends to pursue a career in law. In order to be considered for selection, a candidate must be nominated by her institution's head coach, submit a letter of recommendation that includes campus activities, honors and justification for earning the award, her academic major and GPA, and her season statistics.
The WBCA Scholarship Award Selection Committee selects the award recipient based off of the above criteria. The winner is honored at the WBCA Awards Show, which is part of the WBCA Convention.
Roddy is the 22nd recipient of this prestigious award. She intends to use the Charles T. Stoner Law Scholarship to further her education in the law school she chooses to attend this fall.
