Location: University of Mount Union McPherson Academic & Athletic Complex on campus
Camp is for girls entering grades K-8. Each camper receives a great deal of individual instruction. The goal of the camp and clinic is to develop the basic skills of basketball while learning specific fundamentals necessary to play the point guard, shooting guard, and post positions.
Each morning will include ball-handling, dribbling, shooting, passing, pivoting, rebounding and defensive stations. Afternoon stations will be geared toward position play such as lundmentals of point guard play, getting open against pressure, driving and kicking to the open player, becoming a triple threat scorer, reading the defense and using screens, 1-on-1 moves, post moves on the block, post defense, and much more.
Throughout each day will be 3-on-3 games, 4 on 4 games, 5 on 5 games, numerous camp contests and fun! The camp will be run by Coach Venet, other college coaches, and college players. The goal is to learn, work hard, and have fun in a positive in environment!
