Women's Golf Wins Capital Fall Invite

(CANAL WINCHESTER, OH)--Three golfers finished in the top 10 as the Mount Union College women's golf team won the Capital Fall Classic at Westchester Golf Course in Canal Winchester, OH.

The Purple Raiders fired a 361 overall which edged out tournament host Capital University (368) by seven strokes.

Sophomore Mary Snode (Alliance/Marlington) finished third overall with an 83 and was only two shots behind Jaqueline Leuby of John Carroll University and Amanda Dixon of Wilmington College who tied for the low score at 81.  Leuby was awarded Medalist honors after a playoff.

Sophomore Megan Zenobi (Novelty/West Geauga) and junior Erica Swanger (Shelby/Shelby) had a 91 and 92 to finish seventh and eighth respectively to lead Mount Union, while junior Meghan McInnes (Massillon/Massillon Jackson) had a 95 to finish in a tie for 12th.

Mount Union wraps up the fall season Thursday, Oct. 8 at the Phipps Invitational at Glenmore G.C. in Canton.
