Women's Golf Sixth in Season Opening Yellow Jacket Invite

Mary Snode put together her two best rounds in her college career with an 84 and an 80 at the B-W Fall Invite.

(COLUMBIA STATION, OH)--Mount Union College's women's golf team finished sixth with a 753 (367-386) in the season-opening Baldwin-Wallace Yellow Jacket Invitational at Creekwood Golf Course in Columbia Station, OH.

The Purple Raiders finished just one stroke behind fifth place Washington & Jefferson (PA) College (380-372=752).

NCAA Division I Cleveland State University won the event with a two-day total of 651 (327-324).

Mount Union was led by sophomore Mary Snode (Alliance/Marlington) who for the second straight day posted her best collegiate round as she carded an 80 today after an 84 yesterday to finish in sixth place overall (164).

Snode's total was 12 strokes behind individual medalist Jenna Rinker (73-79=152) of Clarion (PA) University.

The Raiders compete next Saturday and Sunday at the John Carroll Fall Invitational at Fowlers Mill G.C. in Chesterland, OH.
